Privacy policy

What you give us

• Account email and password. The password is stored by our authentication provider as a hash, not as the text you typed.
• Username, city, and an optional profile photo.
• Shows you save: want to go, have a ticket, or selling a ticket.
• Performers you log after a show you attended.
• Friend requests you send, accept, decline, or cancel.
• Messages you send to support.

What the app uses on your device

• Location, only when you ask it to pick a city. We store the city name you choose, not an ongoing location trail.
• Photo library, only when you pick a profile picture.
• A session on the device so you stay signed in.
• If the app closes unexpectedly, a crash report: the stack trace, device model, OS version, and an install id. It does not include your email, password, or saved shows.

Music apps

Encored does not currently connect a music app or export a setlist. If that is offered later, this page will say what permission is requested and what is stored.

Who else is involved

• Supabase hosts accounts, the database, profile photos, and the server functions the app calls.
• Concert listings come from JamBase through our servers. Artist images and short audio previews come from Deezer.
• City search sends the text you type to Photon (photon.komoot.io). Those queries are not stored as a history by Encored.
• Opening a venue can leave the app for Apple Maps or Google Maps.
• Ticket links leave Encored for the seller. We do not process ticket payments.
• Firebase Crashlytics receives crash reports so we can fix the app. Google Analytics is not enabled.

Who can see your saves

Friends can see the shows you save. Those saves appear in activity and on your profile. Taste comparison uses the overlap between two people. Profile photos are stored so the app can show them.

Why we use it

To create your account, show concerts, keep your lists, connect you with friends, send the email code that confirms sign-up, and answer support mail. We do not sell your personal information.

How long we keep it

We keep account data while the account exists. Deleting the account in profile settings removes the login. Profile, saves, and friend requests tied to that account are removed with it. Support emails are kept long enough to answer you and to keep a record of the request.

Children

Encored is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly create accounts for them. If you believe a child has an account, write to support and we will delete it.

Your choices

You can edit your photo and city, remove friends, change or delete saves, disconnect by signing out, and delete the account. You can also withhold location and photos. For a copy of your data or another privacy request, email support. If the law where you live gives you access, correction, deletion, or objection rights, those still apply.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new date will show on this page. Continued use of Encored after the update means the new policy applies to information we handle from then on.
